What is CCTV and why would I need it.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a given source. Like a dedicated monitor, a computer monitor or a cell phone.

CCTV is often used for surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such as businesses or homes.

CCTV video systems may operate continuously or only as required to monitor a particular event. Our Integrated Systems, utilize Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), this provides recording for possibly many years, with a variety of quality up to many megapixels and extra features (such as motion-detection, email alerts and mobile access).

Megapixel IP CCTV cameras are now available at resolutions of up to 16 megapixels. Today there are several manufacturers of IP cameras. IP surveillance equipment vendors include both specialized digital imaging equipment manufacturers and larger manufacturers that are active in consumer, broadcast, and security video.
